The best season of all is upon us, marked by longer days, brighter skies and (slightly) warmer weather! Spring is a great time of year to get outside with all the family, note the changes, develop our understanding of the world, and have a lot of fun and quality time with the children! That’s why we’re sharing some things to pop on the calendar! Here are some fun places to visit for free with the family this spring in London!

Coronation Fun

It is the first time a British monarch has been crowned for 70 years and it’s a great opportunity to take advantage of all the patriotic fun in London. Make the most of the three-day weekend with the kid and consider visiting the royal sights in London, such as Buckingham Palace and getting involved with flags, face-painting, and picnics. The Coronation Big Lunch will take place city-wide with street parties and free entertainment! See all locations here.

Peter Pan Themed Play

Kensington Palace gardens have a wonderful Peter Pan themed play area complete with wigwams and pirate ships to entertain children of all ages this spring. The playground itself also boasts a beach, sculpture and a sensory trail. We recommend getting their early to avoid the queue!

Water Play at Science Museum

There are many fascinations children will enjoy exploring at the Science Museum – but we know the younger they are, the more they want to get involved themselves. The museum’s hands-on galleries save the day, and you can currently don an apron and play with waterways, boats, light, shadow and sound!

Pond Dipping

Enjoy the great outdoors and some nature learning with Camley Street Natural Park. The two-acre wilderness is great for walks and pond dipping, seeing birds, butterflies, and amphibians! The park encourages you to report back on your nature sightings to contribute to the good work!

There are plenty of fun things to do outdoor and in around the best city in the world this spring! We hope you have lots of fun!
