Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. They also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.
One Tree Planted is focused on global reforestation.
For every dollar donated, they plant a tree.
Street Child works with communities across the world to build schools, train teachers, promote the importance of education and ensure that all solutions are sustainable long-term.
In 2021, Happy Journeys will step up to the challenge to raise £11,328 in order to renovate, fully equip and provide water tanks to two nurseries (Early Childhood Development Centre’s) benefitting over 100 children in Kenya and to begin, Happy Journeys has kickstarted the fundraising with a £2,000 donation.
Below is an image of one of the nurseries that the funding will serve. It has not been renovated since it was built in 1970’s.
This project along with others supports our mission, to provide every child with the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
